Welcome back to Faith Walk with Debbie.  It’s been a while since we met, and I wanted to bring you up-to-date.  The last time we met, I shared about the procedure removing my port.  That was October 1, 2021.  The incision healed very well but I was concerned for a few weeks because it had a weird ropey feeling to it.  I was concerned it would always be like that.  Suddenly about 6 weeks after the port was removed, the ropey feeling just disappeared from the incision and the skin laid flat.

It is now December 2021.  Treatment ended last September.  The beginning of December, I had my first follow up tests and appointments.  I was a little nervous because there is always that chance that cancer could return.  I tried to have faith and not be afraid.  To be honest, I was still nervous.

I had my first diagnostic mammogram, labs and Cat.  I praise God that the mammogram looks great.  The labs look great.  The Cat Scan still showed some infiltrations in the lungs but one place was better than before and the other place the same.

Six months ago I saw a lung specialist and he believes the infiltrations are scarred tissue from radiation.  My oncologist isn’t sure and will continue to monitor.

However, my oncologist is PLEASED WITH MY TEST RESULTS

So I praise God that I’m doing great!  In fact I feel great!

I’m still doing the exercise with a trainer twice a week and getting stronger and staying in shape.  I’m grateful for this opportunity.

I also had my annual physical with my regular doctor.  He is amazed that my labs are so great.  He says looking at them he cannot tell I’ve been through all that I have been.

I was concerned about one thing with my labs.  My cholesterol levels were always low.  However, this time they are elevated some, but my regular doctor is not concerned.  It’s a result of the hormone suppressant, Anastrozole that I’m on.  Therefore, my acupuncturist/oncologist has prescribed some natural supplements to help bring the cholesterol down.  My regular doctor verbalized that I AM A WALKING MIRACLE!!!

I am to see the cardiologist again in February.  This time he is not having me get an echo.  He just wants to see me, and I believe he will release me at that time.  As a reminder, I had been seeing him every 3 months while I was in treatment because the chemo could have affected my heart.  Thankfully I did not have any damage.

In 6 months the oncologist will order another CT Scan and check-up.  I thank the Lord he has brought me through this trying journey.  I thank him that I’m healed by the blood of Jesus.  I claim that I am cancer free and am believing it will never return.

As a result of all that I’ve been through, God has put a fire deep within my soul to share what I’ve learned.  So, I am preparing messages now which I hope to soon take out to churches who will allow me to bring hope and encouragement to those going through difficult circumstances.

I absolutely believe that whatever we go through in life, God allows.  Because God has allowed it, he wants to use us for His purpose.  That’s exactly what I hope to do.

So till next time!  May God bless you and remember no matter what you go through, God has a purpose.  Ask him to show you his purpose and follow his leading!
